Sister of Mary and Lazarus, host of Jesus in Bethany
Martha welcomed Jesus into her home and worked hard to serve Him, but became frustrated that her sister was not helping. Jesus gently told her she was worried about many things. When her brother Lazarus died, she went out to meet Jesus and boldly confessed Him as the Christ, the Son of God.
