John
A son of thunder transformed into the apostle of love
John, son of Zebedee and brother of James, left his fishing nets to follow Jesus and became part of His inner circle. Jesus called the brothers sons of thunder, and John once wanted fire called down on a village. At the cross Jesus entrusted His mother to John, and he later stood boldly with Peter before the council.

Faith. Stay close to Jesus long enough and He can turn your fiery temper into a love that defines your life.
Family. Accept the people God entrusts to your care, and treat them as your own family even when they are not by birth.
Business and calling. Trade the pursuit of position for a heart to serve, because true greatness in God's kingdom looks like serving others.
