Man of the Bible · Conquest and Judges
Gideon
A fearful farmer God called a mighty man of valor
Gideon was threshing wheat in hiding when the angel of the Lord called him a mighty man of valor. He tore down his father's altar to Baal, asked God for signs with a fleece, and watched God cut his army down to three hundred. With trumpets, jars, and torches, they routed Midian, and Gideon refused to be made king.

What Gideon teaches you
Faith. God sees the valor in you before you see it yourself, so let His word about you outweigh your fear.
Family. Clear out the idols in your own house first, even when it costs you, because courage at home prepares you for bigger battles.
Business and calling. You do not need the biggest team to win when God leads, so focus on obedience and let Him get the credit.
