Elijah
A bold prophet who called down fire and heard a gentle whisper
Elijah announced a drought to King Ahab, and God fed him by ravens and through a widow's jar of flour and oil. On Mount Carmel he challenged the prophets of Baal, and God answered with fire. Afterward he fled from Jezebel in despair, heard God in a gentle whisper, called Elisha, and was taken to heaven in a whirlwind.

What Elijah teaches you
Faith. After great victories you may still feel empty, so rest, eat, and listen for God's quiet voice instead of giving up.
Family. God's care often comes through ordinary provision, so receive help gratefully and share what little you have with others.
Business and calling. Do not try to carry your mission alone, because God has others standing with you and a successor to train.
