David
A shepherd who became king, a man after God's heart
God chose David, the youngest son of Jesse, and Samuel anointed him while he was still keeping sheep. He served in Saul's court, defeated Goliath, and spent years fleeing Saul before becoming king over Israel. God promised him an everlasting throne, and when David sinned with Bathsheba and had Uriah killed, he repented when the prophet Nathan confronted him.

What David teaches you
Faith. When you sin, do not hide or excuse it, but come back to God honestly, because a repentant heart is precious to Him.
Family. Correct and guide your children with love and courage, because leadership in public cannot replace attention at home.
Business and calling. Faithfulness in small, unseen work prepares you for larger responsibility, so treat today's field as training for tomorrow's throne.
